Missing options and packages

A valuation report assumes a list of equipment and packages for your vehicle. If something your car had is missing — a trim package, navigation, towing package, premium audio, driver-assist package — the value may be too low. Where the equipment list is

CCC reports list equipment in the vehicle information section near the front; Mitchell and Audatex reports list vehicle options or equipment with the vehicle details. Comparable vehicles may also carry equipment or package adjustments.

How to show what your car had

The original window sticker or build sheet — some manufacturers and dealers can reprint it from the VIN.
Your purchase contract or dealer invoice.
Photos of the vehicle and its features taken before the loss.
Service records that mention installed equipment.
